Eastern Comfort is located in the eastern part of Berlin, just at the border between the districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, directly at the largest remaining piece of the Berlin Wall and just next to one of the most stunning old bridges crossing the river Spree. Probably not a good idea if you're liable to seasickness, although the boat is permenantly moored on a river that doesn't really get much action.

The boat is non smoking, equipped with internet/WLAN (free of charge), TV room, and a washing mashine and dryer. You can bring your bedding with you or hire it from them, it costs €5. The hostel also provides a breakfast buffet for €2,50.

Why is it a good choice for a budget traveller?
Because not only is it rather cheap, but it's also a boat. How great is that?
