Germans love their meat. The longer you spend in Germany, the more you’ll learn this. Although Germany is also the 'greenest country' in the world, and quite frankly as fascinated by Bio and Organic produce as it is by pork, there’s still more than a little obsession with chunks of fleisch. Check out the grill wearing guys at Alexanderplatz if you’re looking to sample some traditional German bratwurst in a unique and memorable way.

Unique because these guys are there nearly every day, wandering around with a big flaming grill strapped to their chest serving sausage in bread topp
ed with ketchup and mustard – in true Teutonic style. Half of these guys are standing and walking around with the grills, the other half have seemingly welded together a few random metal parts to create wheelchair style contraptions which are obviously more comfortable to spend the entire day in. Whether these guys are actually disabled, or just plain opportunistic is a question we haven’t seemed to be able to find an answer for.
